Lekan, sorry about that. Which sch is that cos in my sch here in Nigeria as wel, we are considerably equippd. Atleast, I have tourd 7 countries and I knw we aint to far below the standard that is if u must insist that we are.
Hi, Am a medical student, 3rd year, in Abia State University, Uturu, Nigeria. Our education system here is so poor. We dont have constant lectures, we dont have well equipped laboratories, We only have 7 cadavers for upto 100 students. We are not even taught well by our lecturers. Currently the Academic Staff Union in my country are on a 100 days strike since May due to the fact that our lecturers want an increase in Salary and the Federal government is not doing anything about it. This Strike is also affecting we medical Students. And the worst part is that every student in my country except for those who can afford to attend private universities, are affected by the strike. And its not affecting the Government officials in my country because their children are all studying abroad, while they allow us to be frustrated here. Why cant my country do something about their education system here so that overseas students can be proud to say that they are attending a Nigerian University.
If I have the opportunity to get a sponsored transfer to a Medical School overseas where i wont be affected by this Inhumanity of our Governing officials to their subjects, God knows i'd make good use of such an opportunity......

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO NIGERIAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM!!!!!
hi i am egyptian medical student living in cairo in the final year before training
i need videos for surgical clinical examination
i m a 1st grade medical student at india, our syllabus is very tough, equal weightage in both practical skills&theory, after each topic we have 2 face an exam,we r often exposed to viva voice,at the same time we have to study for pg entrance which is very tough to qualify due 2 lack of availability of good seats, here our focus is 2 gain maximum knowledge as well as to retain it,we have 2 be upto date about new discoveries&changes in medical tech.,our teachers r very good, but there is lesser interest in research fields due to lack of facilities&prospects
Hello, i am Akinade Wasiu, a fouth year medical student of OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE IFE , Nigeria. Our medical school is tough academically. Our lecturers taught us regularlly but some medical students prefer to read on their own everyday without attending their classes.During the preclinicals, our laboratory were ill equipped with old medical equipments, the microscopes usually not enough for the large number of students.
Like any government owned Universities in Nigeria,Our school ofen experience irregular academic calendar due to striking actions of our lecturers over the non payment of their salary and calling for their salary increase. This problem only increase our years in the university and also have little or no effect on the academic quality of our graduating doctors and medical students.
hello doctors...im a medical intern from the phlippines..and i recently graduated from my 4th years of medical education..but still under 1 more year training before i take our board exams..I can say we were privileged here since we all got to see and apply what we learn from the medical books...

Hey, I am studying medicine in Greece. Medical school here lasts 6 years. In my medical school specifically the first 4 years are lectures which cover everything from basic science to clinical medicine. The final 2 years are clinical rotations only.

I shouldn't complain because  education could be much poorer (in comparison with the quality of everything else in Greece) but I think serious improvements in our syllabus and in our mentality are needed.

What is really bad about medicine in Greece is what happens post-grad and I am referring to the specialty module, where you have to wait for 4-5 years depending on what specialty you want in order to begin specializing.

hi there.we r very much in the same pot,and it's boiling hot.
